Freedom to Think Built a Nobel Prize
This month, Hoover Senior Fellow Robert E. Hall was awarded the 2026 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for work that helped governments and central banks around the world respond to economic shocks.
He is the sixth Hoover economist in the past half-century to receive the honor, in a tradition that began with Milton Friedman.
Asked what made his work possible, Bob pointed to one thing: the freedom and time to pursue the research he believed in.
That freedom is built by people who believe ideas matter. Your gift today gives Hoover scholars the independence to ask hard questions, test ideas against the evidence, and bring their findings to the people shaping America’s future.
Please give what you can to help Hoover’s scholars produce the next great breakthrough.
